- October 3 & 4 - The Florida Ranch Rodeo Finals & Cowboy
Heritage Festival will be held at the Osceola Heritage Park
in Kissimmee, FL. The top sixteen Ranch Rodeo teams in Florida
will compete for the Championship on Friday and Saturday
evening. The Cowboy Heritage Festival will be held Saturday
and will showcase the Florida Cowboy's way of life. Numerous
Florida Cowboy and Native American artists, story-tellers,
poets, authors and musicans will be entertaining outside
the Silver Spurs Arena throughout the day. The Cowboy Heritage
Festival is FREE, tickets are required for each rodeo performance.

17-19 -Fall Withlacoochee Trail Ride - Proceeds
are used to restore and maintain the Wells Log Cabin
(circa 1870), located on the farm. Primitive camping

- October 18, 2008 Levy County Horse Club presents the 8th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Benefit Trailride. It takes place at the Tidewater Trailhead in Goethe State Forest at Highway 337 and Highway 336 in Levy County. All proceeds go to benefit area breast cancer patients. There will be a continental breakfast at check-in, a National Rescue Ride T-shirt for all riders/walkers that register and prizes for the most money raised. The day will end with a great feeling of equine camaraderie. Riders must collect at least $50 in donations to ride and will receive breakfast by IHOP, event t-shirt and lunch provided by Sonny’s Bar -B-Q. All riders will also have a chance to win a Tractor Supply Co. shopping spree. Riders will follow a ten-mile trail through the Lower Wekiva River State Preserve.
